  • Charles Pinckney was born on October 26, 1757 in Charleston, South Carolina.
  • He died on October 29, 1824.
  • He had a father named Charles Pinckney and a mother named Frances Brewton.
  • He also was married to Mary Eleanor Laurens and had a son named Henry Laurens Pinckney.
  • Before Charles went into office he was a lawyer and planter.

  • In 1776 , Charles was barely defeated by Thomas Jefferson for the vice presidency.
  • Pinckney was a U.S. senate from 1798-1801.
  • He also was a U.S. House of Representatives from 1819-1821.
